Refund Policy

We want Gradde to be a low-risk decision for teachers and schools. This policy explains how free trials, cancellations, and billing work for plans purchased directly from Gradde. It applies alongside our Terms of Service at gradde.co/terms.

Free trial on paid plans

Paid plans include a free trial as shown at signup (typically 30 days). Your payment method may be collected at signup, but you will not be charged until the trial ends unless otherwise stated at checkout. You may cancel at any time during the trial from inside the product or by emailing hello@gradde.co to avoid being charged. If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment is taken. Invite codes or promotions may offer different trial lengths. The terms displayed at signup apply to your subscription.

After the trial — no automatic refunds

Once your trial ends and you are charged, subscription fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We do not offer a separate money-back guarantee after the first charge. If you believe you were charged in error, email hello@gradde.co within 7 days of the charge and we will investigate.

Monthly plans

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time from inside the product (Settings → Billing) or by emailing hello@gradde.co. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep paid access until then. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months.

Annual plans

Annual plans can be cancelled at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid term. We do not refund unused months on annual plans unless required by local law.

School and District contracts

School and District plans purchased under a custom order form or master agreement are governed by the refund and cancellation terms in that contract. If you are a school admin and need a copy of your agreement, email hello@gradde.co.

EU, UK and other consumer rights

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services. By starting to use Gradde during that period you may be asked to acknowledge that you waive the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully provided. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under your local consumer protection law.

How to cancel or dispute a charge

Email hello@gradde.co from the address on your Gradde account. Include your school name and whether you want to cancel at period end or dispute a specific charge. We aim to respond within two business days.

What we don't refund

We do not refund charges after a trial has converted to paid, charges disputed via chargeback after a legitimate refund has already been issued, or fees charged by third parties (for example, currency conversion fees from your bank). We reserve the right to decline refund requests in cases of clear abuse of this policy.

Your account after cancellation

When your paid subscription ends, your account automatically downgrades to the Free plan. Your data remains available subject to Free plan limits (one classroom, up to 30 students, and other Free-tier restrictions). You can export your data anytime using CSV export.
